  • What is a Mogul Smoker
    A Mogul Smoker is a local winter Fernie event celebrating the snow god - The Griz. This one night only event has taken place for more than 40 years.
  • When and where is the Mogul Smoker festival?
    The Mogul Smoker festival is on November 16th, starting at 7pm and running until 7am. It takes place on private property just outside of Fernie, BC. Please note that driving to the event is not permitted—shuttles will be provided throughout the night to and from the party.
  • What Should I Bring To The Mogul Smoker
    To ensure you have an amazing time at the Mogul Smoker, make sure to bring the following essentials for a one-night winter music festival in Canada: Warm winter clothing: Layers are key, including a winter jacket, snow pants, warm socks, gloves, a hat, and a scarf. Foot and hand warmers: These can be lifesavers in cold conditions. Comfortable, insulated footwear: Waterproof boots with good traction are ideal for snowy terrain. A small backpack or bag: To carry your essentials, such as snacks, drinks, and extra layers. ID and festival ticket: Remember, this is a 19+ event, and you'll need your ticket for entry. Food and drinks: You’re allowed to bring your own food and non alcoholic drinks. Cash or card: For any merchandise or additional items you might want to purchase. A positive vibe: Get ready to dance the night away and enjoy the festival!
  • How can I purchase tickets, and what are the ticket options?
    Tickets can be purchased on our website at www.mogulsmoker.ca. We offer three ticket options: Early Bird (available until they run out), General Admission (available until they run out), and Last Chance (available until they run out). Tickets are limited, so be sure to get yours before they sell out!
  • What should I wear to stay warm during the festival?
    Be sure to dress in warm winter clothing, including warm socks, a winter jacket, snow pants, gloves, and a hat. Additional items like foot and hand warmers can help keep you comfortable throughout the night. Please remember to stay a safe distance from the fire!
  • Are there accommodation options nearby, and is camping allowed?
    We will provide a list of nearby accommodations in the next section. Please note that camping is not permitted at the festival.
  • What is the re-entry policy, and can I bring my own food and drinks?
    There is no re-entry allowed at the festival. However, you are permitted to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Please party safely, as this event is on private property.
  • Will there be transportation to and from the festival?
    Yes, shuttles will be running all night to and from the festival, from 7pm to 7am. Please be aware that the shuttles are EXTREMELY busy between 9pm and 12am, so we recommend planning to take an earlier shuttle if possible
  • Is the festival accessible for individuals with disabilities?
    Please contact us directly with your specific requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • What kind of music can I expect at the Mogul Smoker?
    The Mogul Smoker features a night of electronic music with a focus on house, breaks, garage, and drum and bass. Get ready for an unforgettable experience on the dance floor!
  • Are there age restrictions for the festival, and what is the ID policy?
    Yes, the Mogul Smoker is strictly a 19+ event. Government-issued ID is required for entry.
